Purpose: The Department of School Planning and Construction is responsible for the administration of the Capital Improvements Program for Metropolitan Public Schools.  In this capacity, it supervises the programming, design, construction, and commissioning of new buildings, additions to existing buildings, and major renovations and repair/replacement projects, through the process of management.
