Offices:

• President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Sergeant-at-Arms

Eligibility:

Any first-time freshman who submits a complete application (including one teacher recommendation) is eligible to seek office.

Timeline:

Tuesday, August 28

• Election announcement in morning announcements
• Announcements in 5^th and 6^th Period class meeting
• Applications distributed to interested students
• Extra forms distributed to 9^th Grade English teachers and to 9^th Grade office for students who might decide to run

Friday, August 31

• Completed application forms due to SGA, c/o Mrs. Hensley by 2:15 p.m.
• Posters listing candidates placed in 9^th Grade Academy halls
• 4^th Period study halls – Brief meetings with candidates to review campaign expectations/rules

Wednesday, September 5

• “Campaign” – Candidates may place poster in the

• Hall, distribute fliers, etc.
• Speeches will not be made to the entire class
• Visits to 4^th Period study halls (with teacher permission) are permitted

• Voting in Directed Study Time
• Announcement of officers in afternoon announcements
