Language Arts Department

Mrs. Bellefant is a Nashville native.  She attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she obtained her B.A. and M.S. degrees.  Her primary focuses of study were English, Political Science, and Education.  Knoxville is also where she began her teaching career.

Her philosophy is that not only can all students learn and meet any expectations you set up for them, but they are also capable of fare surpasses those expectations.  When given the opportunity, proper guidance, and support; any student can and will achieve success.

At Hillwood, she teaches English in the Freshman Academy, serves as an Academy Leader, and as a ember of the Advisory Committee.  She also coaches the Freshman Cheerleading Squad.
