Coach Mells is originally from Memphis, TN, where he was born and raised. He then graduated from in Central High School and went on to pursue his collegiate career at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. While at UT, He obtained a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. Upon graduating, He moved to Nashville to begin his career in teaching.
Coach Mells has been teaching in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools since 2006, and all of his years have been here at Hillwood High School in the 9th Grade Academy teaching Algebra I. He is also one of the lead teachers in the 9th grade Academy.
When Coach Mells first came to Hillwood, he was the assistant varsity baseball coach. Now he is in his first year as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach. Coach Mells is excited about this opportunity, and hopes he can leave his mark on the program. |
