I am a science teacher and a strong advocate for children. I graduated from
Howard University located in Washington, D.C. with a B.S.degree in microbiology. Since I love learning so much, I decided to go back to school and earn an Associate in Applied Science degree (A.A.S.) in Opticianry from Roane State Community College in Harriman, TN. With this training, I worked as a licensed dispensing optician (LDO) for about five years in east Tennessee and Nashville. After working in the healthcare field, I earned a M.S. in biology from Tennessee State University.
Teaching is one of my passions. To impart information about science is to disseminate vital information about the world we live in and about our possible futures. My goal as an educator is to change the lives of students by empowering, enlightening and engaging students in the learning process. Some of the classes that I love to teach are biology, human anatomy and physiology, and IB biology! I am also an advisor for the biology club. |
