Mrs. Haney is originally from Hope, Arkansas.  She has a Bachelors of Science in Education degree from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and a Masters of  Science degree in Education from the University of Arkansas in Fayetville, Arkansas.

She has taught for 29 years. Twenty–three of those years have been at Hillwood High School.  While at Hillwood she has been selected as Teacher of the Year twice (1997 and 2004).  She as served on the Faculty Advisory Committee, Red Cross Club sponsor, the Textbook Adoption Committee, Sunshine Club, Crisis Intervention Team, and is presently serves on the Leadership Team.

Mrs. Haney's expectations are for her students to excel both academically and socially; and to be life-long learners.

During her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, working out at the gym, and spending time with her son, Russell whenever possible.  He's enlisted in the U.S. Army and is stationed in Stuttgart, Germany.
