Recently, 37 juniors and seniors in Hillwood High’s Public Health Academy spent the day shadowing employees at the Blakeford at Green Hills. Students were able to get a glimpse into a variety of medical careers. Students shadowed professionals in the areas of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, recreational therapy, nursing, pharmacy, dietary, and social services. A special thanks to Allison Griffith, the Chief Administrative Officer for the Blakeford, and Chris Michaels, who is in charge of all staff training at the facility, for helping schedule this day of hands-on learning.
